The Compulsory third party liability insurance of motor vehicles

The Compulsory third party liability insurance of motor vehicles is used for the purpose of providing compensation for the damages which may be caused to health of physical persons, as well as to property of legal entities and physical persons in course of use of mechanical means of transportation within the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Third party liability insurance related with the use of the following vehicles is compulsory.

The following vehicles with engine displacement over 50 cm3:

• Cars and other vehicles based on them;
• Trucks and other equipment made on their basis;
• Minibuses, buses and other equipment produced on their basis;
• Motorcycles and scooters;
• Tractors, vehicles for road construction, forestry and agriculture
• Trolleybuses and trams.
